Cleaning has become an important part of people’s lives recently in an attempt to keep the home germ and bacteria free.

Oven racks are often an overlooked place that people tend to forget to clean but dirt and food particles can build up on the racks if they aren’t cleaned regularly.

Raving about her newly cleaned oven racks, a Mrs Hinch fan posted about her cleaning hack on Facebook group Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips.

She revealed how it involves not one bit of scrubbing and surprisingly, only uses two products including tinfoil.

Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips is a forum where fans of Mrs Hinch can share their own cleaning finds and it has over 500,000 members.

The cleaning fan shared photos of her oven racks before and after cleaning.

The before photos showed build up of food and dirt while the after photos revealed clean and shiny silver oven racks.

She wrote: “Firstly wrap your racks in tin foil. Place in the bath with two dishwasher tablets and cover in hot water. Leave overnight.”

“Maximum result, minimum effort,” she added.

People rushed to the comments sharing how impressed they were with the results, while some questioned further how the hack actually works.

One comment read: “I’m confused. Surely it would be better to have the dishwashing tablet inside the foil?”

However it was soon answered with one member explaining how the chemical reaction with the tinfoil and the dishwasher tablets cleans the contents of the tinfoil.

It is also best to place the oven rack in the bath rather than your kitchen sink because it means you are able to clean all your oven racks together.

This cleaning hack has proved popular to many as not only does it consist of only two products, they are items that you may already have in your home.

Dishwasher tablets are also very useful in cleaning ceramic cooking pots as well as pans.

One cleaning fan revealed on the social media page that she places two dishwasher tablets in her ceramic pot and then puts it on the stove filled with water.

She then said that she put her pan on to boil and left it to simmer for ten minutes.

Another oven rack cleaning hack was posted onto the Facebook page Cleaning Tips & Tricks and it features one of Mrs Hinch’s favourite cleaning products.

The Pink Stuff paste is a versatile cleaning product that can be used on different surfaces around the home.

“Best thing I’ve ever used, I’m using it on everything I can.”

Comments flooded asking the cleaning fan how long she left the product on the oven and how she cleaned it away.

She explained that she scrubbed the paste off after immediate application to the oven and with some elbow grease, managed to get the oven looking good as new.
